bLIS supports automatic printing of labels using Zebra label printers. Labels are automatically printed in bLIS in certain scenarios, such as when receiving an accession. Since bLIS is a web application, a separate application must be running on the host machine that is physically connected to the label printer.
The following outlines setup instruction for label printing. These instructions must be followed once for each computer that will be printing labels.
The printer must be a Zebra printer and one of the following models:
Connect the printer to the PC using the provided USB cable.
Download Zebra Browser Print and follow installation instructions
<aside> 💡 On Windows PC's, select "Create desktop shortcut" when installing for easy access. In addition, ask your IT department to configure the application to start up on boot.

Start "Zebra Browser Print" application by selecting it on the desktop or searching for it in the taskbar.
