Text results

Text results are configured to have multiple result options in a text format, such as Reactive, Non-Reactive, and/or Invalid. The result options must be defined in the “Results” admin page prior to configuring as an option for a result spec. A text result must have a least one option.

Numeric results

Numeric results represent a single numeric test result, which could be whole or floating point numbers. As a result, configuring result options for numeric results is not available. Numeric results may also be configured with reportable ranges.

HLA results

HLA results are specific to HLA testing, and are similar to Text results. The difference is how the result options are configured. With Text result specs, the result options must be known and configured beforehand. With HLA results, the result options are entered as free text, with each option separated by a new line. This is because there can be many result options (alleles) for each HLA result.
