The method for validating results is the same as described in Entering results
Double-entry
Results can be double entered by technicians in the same result form (other than the one who originally entered).
In some cases, double entry may be disabled, which means the result will be auto-validated and finalized after initial entry.
Validating instrument results
There are a few validation scenarios when results have been upload to bLIS by a lab instrument:
- Approval required - the result form will be pre-filled with the result as reported by the instrument. The lab technician must review the result and click "Approve".
- Auto-validation - some instruments are configured for auto-validation. In this scenario, there is no validation step required, and the result will be marked as "Final".
- Double-entry - if the instrument reports a result that will be reflexed, double-entry is required.
