A corrected report can be issued for several reasons, but in essence, it is created when something needs to be changed on an accession after a final report has already been issued.

Generating a corrected report

To generate a corrected report, click the + icon in the Reports section, or select Generate corrected report from the Command menu.

Overriding a corrected report

In certain situations, a user may need to override the automated "Corrected" status of a report. While bLIS typically assigns the "Corrected" status to a report based on specific criteria—such as amendments made to the test results after initial finalization—there can be instances where the user may prefer a different status label.

To override the "Corrected" status:

  1. Follow the steps in Generating reports to begin the report generation process
  2. When bLIS detects a report should be labelled as "Corrected", an input box will appear to enter a reason for the corrected.
  3. Instead of entering a reason, open the report settings dialog as described above, and update the status from Corrected, to either Final, or Preliminary.
  4. Click Update to preview the changes.

The system will update the report's status accordingly, and this new status will be reflected in the report preview and any subsequent notifications sent out for the report. Please note that overriding the "Corrected" status should be done with care to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the record.
