Users can attach files to accessions, making them visible to those with proper permissions. This feature includes secure uploading and easy management directly from the accession interface.

Types of uploads

There are 3 types of uploads: Document, Report, and Test results. These each have distinct behaviors as described below.

Type Description
Document No special behavior. The file will be attached to the accession and available in the Uploads tab.
Report In addition to being uploaded, the file will be displayed as a report on the accession. It will be labelled with an External badge.
Test results In addition to being uploaded, bLIS will attempt to parse test results from the file. If successful, the results will be displayed for approval.

Uploading a file

Files can be uploaded by opening the accession menu in the top right and selecting Upload file. This can also be achieved by the keyboard shortcut Shift+U.
