A preliminary report is a report generated with for an accession which has not been finalized. This is typically due to pending test results or an outstanding hold.
bLIS automatically determines whether a report should be preliminary. This means that you can follow the same steps as described in Generating reports to generate a preliminary report.
Prior to sending, the report preview will indicate the report is in a preliminary state:
