Overview
Once test results have been finalized, bLIS can generate reports — formatted documents that summarize the test findings for a given accession. Reports are the primary way that result information is communicated to ordering physicians and client organizations.Report Contents
A typical report includes:- Subject information — Name, identifiers, and demographics
- Accession details — Accession ID, collection date, received date
- Test results — All finalized results with reference ranges and flags
- Performing lab information — Lab name, address, and credentials
Report types
Each generated report has a type:
On the accession, a Corrected badge marks a corrected report. If you assigned a classification, its code appears next to that badge.
Generating Reports

Finalize results
All test results within an accession must be finalized before a report can be generated.

Generate the report
Navigate to the accession and select the option to generate a report. bLIS will create a formatted PDF document.

Review
Review the generated report for completeness and accuracy.

Distribute
Send the report to the ordering organization. bLIS can distribute reports via email notifications or make them available for download within the system.
Report Notifications
bLIS can automatically notify relevant parties when a report is ready. Notifications can be sent via:- Email — A notification email with the report attached or linked
- In-app — A notification within bLIS that the report is available for viewing
