Overview
The command menu is a quick-access tool for performing actions and navigating bLIS without clicking through menus. PressCtrl+K from anywhere to open it.
Opening the command menu
PressCtrl+K from any page in bLIS. The command menu appears as a search dialog where you can type to find actions.
What you can do
The command menu provides access to:- Navigation — Jump to any page (Accessions, Board, Search, Test runs, Reports, Admin)
- Accession actions — When viewing an accession, perform actions directly:
- Mark received
- Hold
- Enter results
- Generate report
- Upload file
- Clone accession
- Stage for instrument
- Set status
- Set priority
- Print labels
- Print archive labels
- Edit
- Cancel accession
- Delete accession
Keyboard shortcuts
Some commands have dedicated keyboard shortcuts, displayed next to the command name in the menu. For example:| Shortcut | Action |

When to use the command menu
The command menu is fastest when you already know what action you want to perform. Instead of navigating through menus, pressCtrl+K, type a few characters, and press Enter.
Available commands depend on context. Accession-specific actions only appear when you are viewing an accession. Navigation commands are always available.
