Overview

Custom views let you save filter and display configurations for the accession list. Instead of re-applying the same filters each time, you can create a view and switch to it with one click. Each view also stores its display type, so you can have one view as a table and another as a board.

Display types

bLIS offers three ways to display accessions. You can switch between them using the display toggle in the view options menu.
The default display. Accessions are shown in a traditional table with sortable columns. Each row displays the accession ID, status, case ID, client, and date. Click a row to open the accession detail view.The table view is best for browsing and sorting large numbers of accessions.

Open view options

Click the view options button (gear icon) in the accession list toolbar.

Select a display type

Under Display, choose List, Table, or Board.
The display type toggle is not available on mobile. Mobile devices always use the list display.

Date display

The view options menu also lets you toggle between Actual dates (e.g., “02/16/2026”) and Relative dates (e.g., “2 hours ago”).

Filtering accessions

Use the Filter button to narrow the accession list. Available filters:

You can combine multiple filters. Active filters appear as chips in the filter bar and can be removed individually.
Press F to quickly open the filter menu from anywhere on the accession list.

Creating a view

Configure filters and display

Apply the filters and choose the display type you want to save.

Save the view

Click the Save button that appears in the filter bar.

Name the view

Enter a descriptive name (e.g., “STAT in progress”, “Pending reports”) and click Save.
The new view is saved and you are navigated to it. You can access it anytime from the sidebar.

Editing a view

Open view options

Click the view options button while on the view you want to edit.

Enter edit mode

Click Edit view.

Make changes

Adjust filters, display type, or the view name.

Save

Click Save to apply your changes.
Editing and deleting views is available to lab managers only.

Deleting a view

Open the view options menu and click Delete view. Confirm the deletion when prompted. You will be redirected to the default accession list.
