- Accession ID
- Case ID
- Subject Name
- Other Identifiers
Search by the 8-digit accession number:Partial matches work too — type the first few digits.
Search Results
Understanding Results
Search results show:- Accession ID — 8-digit identifier
- Case ID — Subject identifier
- Status — Current accession status
- Created Date — When the accession was created
- Match Highlight — Which field matched your search
Result Ordering
Results are sorted by:- Exact matches first — Exact accession or case ID matches appear at the top
- Recent activity — More recently created or modified accessions rank higher
- Relevance — How closely the result matches your query
Filtering the Accession List
From the main accession list, use filters to narrow results:Status Filter

Filter by accession status:
- New — Created but not yet received
- Received — Specimens logged in
- In Progress — Testing underway
- Completed — All results entered
- Final — Report finalized
- Cancelled — Cancelled accessions
Organization
Organization
Filter by client organization to see accessions from specific clients.
Priority
Priority
Show only:
- STAT — Urgent accessions
- Routine — Standard priority
Holds
Holds
Show only accessions with active holds.
Advanced Search Techniques
Combining Filters
You can combine multiple filters for precise results: Example: Show all STAT accessions that are in progress:- Status: In Progress
- Priority: STAT
Saved Searches
Some labs configure saved searches or “views” for common filter combinations. Check with your administrator if this feature is available.

Start with fewer characters
Don’t type the whole ID. Typing “123” might be enough to find accession 12345678 if it’s recent.

If you’re looking for an accession from months ago, search by the full accession ID for faster results.

Possible reasons:
- Typo in the ID
- Accession doesn’t exist yet
- You don’t have permission to view that accession
- Accession is from a different organization (if you have multi-org access)
- Double-check the ID
- Try searching by case ID instead
- Contact your lab manager if you think you should have access

- Filter by priority
