Overview
Each subject in bLIS is identified by a case ID and can have additional identifiers such as a UNOS ID or donor IDs. You can update these identifiers from an accession’s detail view or from the subject record directly.Identifier types
| Identifier | Description |
|---|---|
| Case ID | The primary unique identifier for the subject (required) |
| UNOS ID | United Network for Organ Sharing identifier, used for organ transplant cases |
| Donor ID | Additional identifiers specific to your organization or workflow |
Updating identifiers from an accession
Update the identifiers
Modify the case ID, add or remove UNOS IDs and donor IDs, update date of birth or gender as needed.
Adding additional identifiers
On the subject edit form, you can add identifiers using the buttons below the existing fields:- Click UNOS ID to add a UNOS identifier (one per subject)
- Click Donor ID to add additional donor identifiers (multiple allowed)
Important notes
- The case ID must be unique across the system
- Changes to subject identifiers are logged in the audit trail
- All accessions for a subject share the same identifiers
