Accession List
The accession list is the default home page in bLIS. It displays recent accessions ordered by creation date and time.What You’ll See
Each row in the accession list shows:- Accession ID — The unique 8-digit identifier
- Status Icon — Visual indicator of the accession’s current state
- Case ID — The subject’s primary identifier
- Primary Client — The organization that requested the tests
- Created Date/Time — When the accession was created
- Indicators — Flags for holds, STAT priority, or other special conditions
Filtering and Sorting
You can filter the accession list to find specific records:- By Status
- By Organization
- By Priority
Filter by accession status: New, Received, In Progress, Completed, Final, or Cancelled.
Accession Detail View
Click on an accession to see the detailed view, which includes:Header Information
- Accession ID and Status
- Subject Information — Case ID and other identifiers
- Organizations — Creating org, receiving lab, and any reference labs
- Priority — Routine, Urgent, or STAT
- Important Dates — Created, received, packed, collected

View all test orders for this accession, including:
- Test name and panel
- Current status (pending, completed, etc.)
- Associated sample
- Results (if available)

See all samples associated with this accession:
- Sample type and tube type
- Collection timestamps
- Processing steps (refrigeration, centrifugation)
- Display ID for labeling

Access generated reports:
- View existing reports
- Download PDF reports
- See report status (preliminary, final, corrected)

Navigating Between Accessions
From the Accession List
- Use the search bar at the top to find specific accessions
- Press
/anywhere in bLIS to open the global search - Click Next or Previous to move through the list
From the Detail View
- Click the back arrow to return to the list
- Use the search to jump to a different accession
- Click the Case ID in the header to view all accessions for this subject
Accessing Subject History
To see all accessions for a subject:Quick Actions
From the accession detail view, you can:- Receive — Mark specimens as received (for new accessions)
- Add Tests — Add additional test orders
- Enter Results — Navigate to result entry
- Generate Report — Create a report (when all results are complete)
- Add Comment — Leave notes about the accession
- Create Hold — Place a hold to pause processing
Available actions depend on your user role and the accession’s current status.
