Overview

Cloning creates a new accession based on an existing one. This is useful when you need to create a follow-up accession for the same subject with similar test orders.

How to clone an accession

1

Open the accession

Navigate to the accession you want to clone.
2

Open the action menu

Click the overflow menu () in the upper right corner of the accession, or press Ctrl+K to open the command menu.
3

Select Clone accession

Choose Clone accession from the menu.
4

Configure clone options

You will be asked if you want to clone samples and receive time. If this applies, check the box.
5

Confirm

Click Confirm to create the cloned accession.
After confirming, a new accession is created and you are navigated to it automatically. If you selected the option to clone samples and receive time, they are populated into the new accession.

What gets cloned

The new accession copies the following from the original:
  • Subject information
  • Test orders
  • Organization details
  • Samples (if selected during clone)
  • Receive time (if selected during clone)
The new accession is created with status New and receives its own unique accession ID.
