Overview

Deleting an accession is a destructive action. With the exception of the audit trail, all traces of the accession, samples, test orders, and billing will be lost. This is intended mainly for accidental creation of accessions.
Deletion is permanent. As a preferred alternative, see Cancelling accessions, which preserves the record and requires a reason for traceability.

How to delete an accession

Open the accession

Navigate to the accession you want to delete.

Open the action menu

Press Ctrl+K to open the command menu, or click the overflow menu (…) in the upper right corner.

Select Delete accession

Choose Delete accession from the menu.

Confirm the deletion

Confirm that you want to permanently delete the accession.
This action is available to lab managers only.
